What is the Need?
Inshaa Allah we are raising funds to train and develop 20 Muslim needy and incarcerated teens.
Funds will be used to cover the cost of tuition and books for these incarcerated Muslim teens on Islamic manners and character. These teens are new to Islam and ages range from 14 to 21, ILIA offers them training and classes on Saturdays and would like to start a regular program this month.
These teens are deserving for the following reasons:
1. Almost all have no family, or just a mother
2. They are new in Islam, and hence are considered Mualafa qulobhom
3. Are trying to better themselves and are serious about studying, about of a bigger group of 50 Muslim teens.
4. By preparing them now, we hope to be able to provide them with a safe haven after they leave the detention
5. Their neighborhoods are very dangerous and poor and without character development, its very easy for them to get back into trouble.
6. Helping them is a form of continuous charity
